Types of Deposits

    • Open a standalone FD without opening a Savings Account
    • Open an FD for a duration of 6 months to 10 years
    • Fund your fixed deposit by Net Banking / UPI / Debit Card
    • Option to withdraw prematurely without penalty after 6 months
    • Deposit a fixed sum every month for the investment period
    • Minimum goal amount of ₹3,000 and in multiples of ₹1,000 thereof
    • Tenures range from 3 to 120 months
    • Option to close prematurely without penalty after 6 months
    • Platina FD is a non-callable deposit product. Part closure and pre-closure facility are not available
    • Tenures ranges from 12 months to 60 months
    • Deposit amount should be above ₹1 crore and below ₹3 crores
    • Interest pay-out options available are monthly, quarterly and at maturity
    • Minimum deposit amount should be ₹25,000 and in multiples of ₹1,000 thereof
    • Tenures range from 12 to 60 months in multiples of 12 months
    • Interest calculated monthly and deposited to customers' linked USFB saving or current account
    • Auto-renewal facility is available
    • Save on your taxes by availing tax exemption under Section 80C of Income Tax Act, 1961
    • Minimum amount of ₹1,000 and maximum of ₹1,50,000 in a FY for a 5-year lock-in-period

3. What is the minimum and maximum tenure for deposits?

The minimum and maximum tenure may vary based on the product. For example, a regular FD comes with a tenure ranging from 7 days to 10 years, whereas RD tenure ranges from 6 months to 10 years.

4. What is Tax Saver FD?

A Tax Saver Fixed Deposit offers the benefit of both worlds – tax savings under Section 80C of the Income Tax Act /9provided you have opted for the old tax regime) and wealth growth. The lock-in period is 5 years and the maximum investment amount is capped at ₹1.5 lakh in a financial year.

5. What is the difference between Fixed Deposit and Recurring Deposit?

Investing in FDs entail lump sum investment (one-time investment), whereas with Recurring Deposits, you invest a fixed amount every month. The FD tenure generally ranges from 7 days to 10 years, whereas for RDs, it’s 6 months to 10 years or more.

6. What documents do I need to provide to open a bank deposit?

You would need to submit your basic KYC documents including PAN and Aadhar. If you wish to open a deposit account from one of our branches, you would need to provide a passport-size photograph. 7. Are bank deposits safe?

Deposits up to ₹5 lakh is insured under DICGC (Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation) per depositor.
