FAQs
1. What is an RD Calculator?
An RD Calculator is a financial calculator that lets you calculate your RD returns (maturity and interest amount) in seconds. The calculator considers the deposit amount, tenure and the applicable interest pertaining to the tenure to calculate your RD returns.
2. How to calculate RD returns?
RD interest is calculated via the compound interest method. The mathematical formula to calculate RD returns is A = P*(1+R/N) ^ (Nt), where: A = Maturity Amount, P = Principal, N = Compounding Frequency, R = RD interest rate in percentage and t = Tenure. You can use our RD Interest Calculator to calculate the maturity amount and interest.
3. What is the RD Maturity amount?
The maturity amount is the amount you receive once your RD tenure ends. It comprises the sum of the principal amount and the interest earned.
4. What are the benefits of using a Recurring Deposit Calculator?
Calculating your RD maturity amount manually can be time consuming and may leave room for errors. An online RD Calculator mitigates these hassles and lets you calculate your recurring deposit maturity amount and interest in seconds. Also, you can use the calculator to compare returns. This would help you choose the right deposit amount that’s aligned to your investment goals.
5. What is the minimum RD tenure?
Recurring Deposit tenure ranges from 6 months to 10 years. You can break your RD anytime, however, in doing so, you will be eligible for the interest rate applicable for that particular tenure and not the actual tenure you had selected at the time of booking an RD.
6. Is RD interest rate fixed?
RD interest rates are fixed throughout the tenure. The interest rate varies based on the tenure.
7. Is RD interest taxable?
